Malay Mail Big Walk 2007

29 April 2007

This is the my Big Walk debut along with my dad and brother. Each of us sign up in different category, me10km, dad 7km and brother 5km. I started off with a casual walk, but later notice that I'm really far behind from the crowd. So at later stage attempt to speed up with some weird walking posture. Nevermind that, as long as I'm fast.

2km before the finishing line, I finally run into the 3km fun run crowd. So is difficult for me to keep up with my pace with the large number of people strolling all over the road. I utilize some long cut and finally try my best to finish within 2 hours qualifying time. However, I manage to reach around 1 hour and 40 minutes, I suppose.

~ My Nike is ruined ! ~

As soon as I pass the gate, I was being told that I was number 51 ! Surprised, surprised. I was so surprised that this was the first time I got 51st place. But just a minute later, I got totally dissapointed that I was 1 place away from claiming myself a merit medal. But I don't know what makes me request my family to stay abit longer and wait for the finalize result at 11am. Eventhough is a 2hour wait, I think it is worth it, cause I found out that I got 50th place after a front-runner got disqualified. So how is it, my 1st Top 50 medal. Gorgeuos one !

Hey Paccos,

Cooools! You get to run in the jungles and now your mum gets to walk/run in the city. And you both get muddys? Weirdness, again.

If my secretary had to walk that fars he'd... he'd... walk that fars. Arf! Arf! He and Mum like to walks. EVEN WITHOUTS ME!!!

Cooools certificate! CONGRATS!! Whew! I'm tired just thinkin' about it.

And loves your jungle trekkin' photos. Reminds my humans of their trekkin' in the Peruvian jungle a long time ago in a galaxy fars, fars away.
