Aggressiveness, d Key 2 Success

Aggressive is always being link toward unprovoked offensives, attacks and invasions, which sounds negative. Aggression itself is usually defined by canine behaviorists as "the intent to do harm". Many dogs will show "displays of aggression" such as barking, growling, or snapping in the air without actually having any aggressive intent.

~ Don't worry. This black mutt is not me. ~

But one the positive aspect, which is the making of an all-out effort to win or succeed. However, in Malaysia, probably the most obedience dog, might easily to get themselve in the podium finish. So, this will be our least concern. Unfortunately, my owner thinks aggressiveness is a beauty in sport.

On the above picture, the border collie show his agressiveness and exert all his power out for the obstacle that I found it the most boring of all, the 'dog walk'. Cause whenever I was running down the walk, my owner will yell 'Halt!'. She always think that I will jump down from the peak of it, which is unfortunately true.

What do they call this? Double jump? Never seen this before in Malaysia's Agility Trial. Anyway, being a mongrel that thought working is something silly to be done. I do tends to be obedient sometime to please my owner. Exerting my aggressive drive not only in bullying little puppies, but in formal stuff too.

This is the proof that I'm doing my job. Pupil dilation! Until my eyes nearly popped out during last year 'Fastest Ball Retriever' game. I won it last season, so hopefully, this year I can defend my title or maybe reach podium finish, althought the autority had made a major amendment to the game, which now becomes 'The Most Ball Retriever in 1 minute'. Eventhough, being obedient and doing repeated task is my weakest field, I will give them my best shot.

~ Maximum stride in order to be the fastest. But always keep in mind that a little mistake might lead to disqualification. ~

~ 'Looks like' totally committed ~

~ The ready to 'attack' look ~

Pacco versus the Border Collie

I wonder what am I planning to attack when I'm actually inside the house.

But notice that Groovy didn't actually look aggressive during his run. Most probably because he is toy motivated, which meant pure fun and joy. I wonder what motivate those BC that they can give that kind of look. Maybe 'prey drive'? As in the case that they are actually in the mission of killing something while they are running.

This is Groovy, my owner's role model. Yea, definately not mine. Cause I think he is just too much, it seems like he is 24 hr mentally stimulated by toys eventhough he had reach 3.5 years old.

According to Robert Browning, "A minute's success pays the failure of years". This might not be applicable in all cases, as I witness Groovy winning the 'Best Trick' title during his debut year. My owner had already experience almost 3 years of failure. While, in my case, is just 1 year. So I think is time for us to start experiencing some success. But anyway, this Sunday will be my Novice Agility debut, so hopefully we can complete it.

When there are people who wish to stop you. All you need to do is just improve yourself and be stronger than ever. This is what it takes to . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . earn your food.

Hey, good information there Pacco. Unfortunately, I don't become aggressive towards anything not even when someone comes towards my ball. I'm a Golden Retriever, what to expect? Hehehehe... But I wish to weave like that mixed breed dog someday. Someday... I wonder when's that someday gonna come. Hehe!

Love licks,
