M'sia Dog 'Olympic' Day

27 May 2007

It was the 2nd olympic day that I participated in. This time, it was an 'Olympic' day without the major dog sport, which is the agility run. With the organizer possessing the most gorgeous set of equipment in town, it serve as a 'furniture' at the corner of the field. Beside a minor demo.

~ Amber doing a flyball demo ~

The day started off with a mini Olympic run. Unfortunately, my owner, the subpar runner only manage to get herself into a 4th place, while Groovy got himself a second.

~ In sync couple run. U put ur left foot up, U put ur right foot up ~

Followed up with games like 'Best Dressed', 'Musical Chair', 'Waggiest Tail', 'Fastest Eating', 'Best Canine Twin' and 'Longest Stay'. These were the games that were mission impossible to me. Thus, my owner didn't even bother to walk into the ring. Pass.

Initially I was aiming a podium finish for the 'Fastest Recall' game. But it seems like it was not my day again, as I kept heading the wrong direction. While Groovy win it effortlessly.

~ Erm.....I think he really put in alot of effort for it ~

Then later, came the 'Simon Say' game. Initially I thought it was an obedience game, which require some distance control. We had been practising day and night for it. But it appears to be some kind of casual game, whereby no obedience is needed. And I'm fortunate to appear as the 2nd runner up. Totally unexpected.

I'm a mutt that do nothing better besides jumping. So, during the Long Jump event I jump leap over to win the title again. This time is one a different ground. So I'm not only doing well just in Pet-n-You events. With this event separated into 2 categories, there's no doubt, Groovy and me emerge as the champions.

~ We both possess those long and sexy legs ~

The Ultimate Retriever were the last game of the day. We were required to retrieve not our own ball, but the balls being provided. During the duration of 3 minutes given, I need to retrieve as many balls as possible.

~ Don't suffocate me. I promised not to runaway ~

~ I'm exerting full force...... ~

~ While, Groovy thinks that he had earn enough ~

Groovy decided to pull away from the retrieving game again. Last time was due to the mud. This was due to the 'unrotten' balls. And as usual, I tends to go AWOL in between the time. But luckily, owner manage to grab me back to the starting line and resume the game. Lastly, I manage to retrieve 10 balls. But due to the owner subpar throwing ability, half the balls in my basket got disqualified, thus I only manage to get 3rd placing. So, I'm not the one to be blame. Gosh.

Yeah found loads of pics of ourselves in the photo gallery. But nothing really fancied me. The worse thing is, NO pics of me dancing! Ahhhhh!!! I was disappointed... Just few pics of me doing the flyball demo, that was it. Looked like the same picture taken in the Star newspaper. Neways, congrats to you for winning the Longest Jumper. Honestly, we both could go neck to neck ya know. I just have to stop paying too much attention to the ball in my mommy's hand. I jumped as far as you did! Ahhhh! Actually Faith should be able to beat to beat you bot me but she ah, you know lah! Hahahaha!

Love licks,
