Visit to Sekinchan

24 November 2007

Our first vacation since the holiday started was a day trip to Sekinchan, which is Prince's hometown. The humans had been talking about the trip for more than a month, and finally is happening. The destination is within the vicinity of Selangor, but we had yet to been there ever before. I went along with my friends, Prince, Money, Piper and Dookie. The journey took approximately 1 1/2 hour and the road gave you the opportunity to perform your overtaking skills. Sweat.

Mr. Johntim had been our tour guide of the day, talking over the mobile from another car, introducing to us the tourist attraction places whenever we pass by one.

The first location was the ever-stretching golden paddy field. A visit to Sekinchan will reveal a land of serene natural beauty, surrounded by the greenery of pad during the planting season and golden hues at harvest time.

The height of the paddy were rather tall and getting ready to be harvest. Oh, I miss the traditional way of harvesting whereby labour worker will pluck up the plantation manually.

The path in between the paddy were so long, it seems never ending to me. Some of us marching along the 'alley way', lining up one by one, with me being the leader. Cough. 1, 2, 1, 2.

Piper and Dookie, the mother and son just love to fight over every single thing.

Nearby the paddy plantation, there was a pond with 'murky' water, which is utilized to drain the plantation. We the dirty mutt love to get ourself soaked wet, just to annoy our owners. Ain't you think is fun?

The dirtiest dog among all of us is non-other than Prince. Yucks!

Next destination, the jetty. Nearby there was a rather historic looking place, with some decaying boat remaining.

I leap up the rock to have a better view of the beautiful scenery.

Money enjoying the breeze from the sea by the jetty.

Ann with Money and Piper, the two scruffy Jack Rusell Terrier.

A boat was coming back towards the jetty as the tide moves up.

Our 3rd destination, the beach. Unlike my previous trip to Port Dickson, the beach condition is different. I was told that Sekinchan's beach isn't meant for swimming. I'm relief to hear that. I doesn't need to swim. Phew!

While to me this is a goodnews, unfortunately to Prince it was a bad news. As he was retricted to demonstrate his great brilliant skills, he tried to voice out his protest. Grrr......

Still remember when I was at Port Dickson, I keep pestering at Dookie. While, now the case is still the same. I just love to hunt him down. He's just seem too interesting for me.

See? Didn't I mentioned that they both like to fight over every single item?

Ms. Owner brought along my frisbee, a present from Ann. As the wind was just too strong, the frisbee throwing was not suitable. She opt to fly the frisbee manually by herself.

Prince wanted to give it a try too. Good try from him, as he show us he could make up a leap too, eventhough he got a bulky body.

There was a resting hut near the beach for us to take some rest and eat some snack.

As usual, Prince got his share from his pappy.

Dookie boy decided to take a nap. Zzzzz.......

Final destination (no, this is not something spooky), the fisherman's pier, but among the dogs, only Money was allowed to join, while the rest of us were left at Prince's home. Don't mistaken that Money was the most well-behaved dog that deserved to go, but the truth was the opposite. Haha..... She's just too noisy to be left at a stranger's home.

It was such an eye opening experience for Ms. Owner to witness in person how the fishermen arrived at the habour and sorting out their haul.

A local labour was separating out the fishes into different species and sizes.

After the sorting process, it were placed into their respective container, ready to be distribute to the market.

These are the 'salt fish' in the drying process.

We had visited so many different places in a day, and it really made me into Pacco de Exhausted Mutt. I slept in the car for the first time ever. Before I dozed off, I would like to thank Prince and his pappy, Mr. Johntim for inviting us to his hometown. Your hometown is fascinating.

Hi Pacco, that looked like a really fun trip! Don't be too hard on Prince and his bulky body. I know how hard it is to jump with all four feet off the ground if you don't have a Pacco-body. Maybe in a month or so I will show you my first snow in the mountains.

Love, Biggie

It is time of harvesting rice.
It is warm still.
Autumn starts leaving, and winter coming in Japan.
The appearance that the beach runs seems to be very pleasant.
