Penang Day 1 - Beach BBQ Pawty

Intinery
Day 1 (4 January 2008, Friday)

10am – Reached Archer’s home and departed for Penang
12pm – Pit stop at Ipoh to have lunch
12.45pm – Journey resume
2pm – Arrived at Penang’s Bridge and lost our way to Aurora Court
3pm – Finally manage to locate Aurora Court
7pm – Beach BBQ organized by Scruffy, Ginger, Lenny and Lucious’s owners
11pm – BBQ session ended and headed back to Aurora Court

Everything seems to be in the mood of anticipation to us. The journey was my longest ever car ride, and Archer also felt bored by it. He wanted to take a nap on the back seat next to me, but I forbidden him. I know I behaved rather noxious towards my host, sorry for that. Throughout the journey, I keep myself busy with the outdoor view, while stepping on Ms. Owner thigh until she got many bruised marks.

I’ve never seen the magnificent view of Penang Bridge before. Archer’s owner, Ms. Susan threatened to dump me over the bridge if I ever tried to escape during the trial. That really terrified me, as my swimming skill is dreadful.

While Mr. Bernard seems to lose his way to located Aurora Court and he brought us for a ‘1-afternoon-car-trip-around-Penang-Island’. When we finally found our destination, Groovy came over from his apartment to welcome us. Ms. Owner and I were located into a 2-single bedroom. This is my second time being in a hotel room. Sweet.

We spent rest of the afternoon waiting for Bank and Venus’ arrival before we head to Scruffy, Ginger, Lenny and Lucious’s BBQ pawty at the beach.

It was dusk when I set my paws on the sand, the breeze was strong and the tide was moving up. Mr. Raymond started to BBQ the chicken wings, sausages and hams. Ms. Janice offered us her favourite dish, mashed potatoes. While the cooking was ongoing and the humans enjoying their meals, we dogs get pleasure with Scruffy de Beach boy swimming solitarily against the waves, Groovy and Ginger chasing after the same ball and me searching for potential candidate to perform my begging skill.

~Groovy ready to conquer the waves with his surfboard. Ooppss.. No, is a frisbee instead~

~ Groovy : Give me back, or else, I won't be responsible on what happens next! ~

When Henna’s owner, Mr. Choy turned up, I’d marked him as my target. I spent the rest of my night sitting and staring right at his eyes. When finally he finished with his food and decided to hand me his chicken bone, I got noticed by evil Ms. Owner at the wrong time and reluctantly I was dragged away. There goes all my hard work. Sob.

Archer was the most well-behaved dog of the night, sitting next to his owner for the entire night without making a single noise.

Night-time view seems to be a great challenge for every photographer, as the men keep themselves engaged discussing about their camera and photo-taking skills.

Upon arrival back to our apartment, I had my supper on my Frisbee-bowl. With Kimi and Bank being around me, I ate at the speed of ‘Fastest-Eating-Contest’, as I worried my food will be stolen. Ms. Owner watched the local TV news until 12.30am and then we had a good sleep together.

Hey, Pacco!

Sounds like the start of a big adventure. You look totally at home wherever you are, but I still don't get why the hoomans didn't give you dogs any bbq!

Can't wait to read the next installment in Pacco's Roadtrip!
