Day 3 (6 January 2008, Sunday)
8.30am – Checked-out and departed from Aurora Court to Silver Jubilee Hall
9.00 – Agility Trial commenced
12pm – Lunch break
1pm – Agility Trial resume
2pm – Fancy dressing contest
3pm – Prize giving ceremony
3.30pm – Journey back to KL with Groovy commenced
8.30pm – Arrived home finally
The humans reluctantly woke up at 7.30am to pack their luggage. Everyone was still in their sleepy mood and morning coffee was anticipated. Me too, felt extremely tired and didn’t manage to recover to my full energy from yesterday hard work. While the humans keep themselves busy with the packing, Bank and I was wandering about the living hall.
As I was patrolling around, something at the main door caught my noticed. Sniff. Sniff. I stared for some time, and then Ms. Owner came over to check it out. She peeped over and saw Groovy boy standing solitary outside our apartment door. We then found out he came all the way from the 4th floor through the staircase to check out on me. Bravo!
On my 2nd day trial, I did not manage a 'clean run' for my Basic Jumper, thus this cost me to settle for a 2nd placing.
During the Elementary and Novice courses, I performed some ‘agility-freestyle’ that one could never imagine. Wandering about the course, running off the field, barking at the stewardess, taking the wrong obstacles were some of the stunt that I did. For sure I manage to make an impact during my debut appearance in Penang and made my name ‘Pacco de Mongrel’ unforgettable to the crowd.
After successfully driving Ms. Owner mad and causing her head near explosion, I got a decent punishment from her. She madly threw the leash towards my direction, and that time I realized I had push things to far, she had finally reached beyond her patience. I got 10 minutes detention, staying solitary under the tree, while curious spectators even take the opportunity to snap photo of me. That’s absolutely annoying. Grrr....
While waiting for the next run to begin, I did some 'high jump' to stretch my muscle. These photo are courtesy from a professional photographer, new2mac, as per his watermark.
Groovy was a major attraction with his on-focus ball chasing ability and some tricks display.
When the next run began, I tried my best not to misbehave again, and finally I manage to complete all the obstacles, eventhough the whistle was blown to indicate elimination after I made 3 faults even before I completed half the course. As for the Gambler class, Ms. Owner said is time to do some freestyle, I could jump whichever obstacles I choose to, when the whistle was blown to indicate the start of Gambler course, I manage to complete 3 out of 5 gambler obstacles, missing out the tyre and table, which indicate a good start for us. Our motto ‘Just Do It’ regardless what others might think.
On this 2nd day trial, Archer did not manage to get ‘clean run’, thus the 1st placing was handed to Groovy this time. Even though by the end of the day, I only manage to win in a Basic Jumper class, but completing our Novice run was our major success.
We are yet again, one step closer to achieve our goal. May we both work hand-in-paw to make our dreams realize. Impossible is nothing. Woof!
Result for Day 2 Trial
Agility Basic Jumper – 2nd place – Pacco
Agility Basic Jumper – 3rd place - Scruffy
Agility Elementary – 2nd place – Archer
Agility Novice – 1st place – Groovy
Agility Novice – 2nd place – Archer
