Backyard Training

As I had mentioned earlier, we had been doing some practise at the backyard during the evening. We captured some vid, but our connection is rather poor, so we decided to post up some still image from the vid.

Below was an old trick, which I realized, I never post it up before. Jump through DIY hoop aka Ms Owner's arm.

We took out the 6 weave poles from the backyard, construct it, practise for 3 rounds and then dismantle it again. Or else, grandpa will be nagging at us again the entire night. For me, 3 rounds are the max, before I lose the Pacco's power, from F1 speed to A1 speed. This is what we try to prevent.

~ Gaining the momentum. I think I'm weaving faster now. See my ears are flying? ~

Johann mentioned something about weaving footwork, but I had no idea what footing is all about. Can we actually work to alter our footing?

From the background, the man sitting behind is my grandpa aka Gardener. So we always need to make sure the garden was in its best condition and no obstacle laying around is tolerate.

~ Being allowed to 'Jump' is my best reward ~

By the way, here is an 'Excellent' award from Xsara, the agility beagle, who taught me, any any dog can be successful regardless their breed. They say: this award is given to bloggers who have wonderful outstanding styles and a fantastic ability to keep us thinking, amused and entertained. Thank you, Xsara.

I don't think I'd be able to jump through my Mom's arms. My big bones prevent me from jumping that high.

Wow, your backyard looks quite big. We are envious as we don't have a garden at our home. And you make the training look like a breeze too - very talented Pacco!
Congrats on your award too! :)

Pacco, you sure are getting better with the weave poles! I'm sorta like getting faster too. Sorta lah ha...I an only do two to three repetitions only too or else I'll get too tired & will slow down.

Hey Pacco! Great pics buddy! Mum has been investigating this footwork thing, since Gracie's is different than we've seen before. But from the pics it looks like you are putting one foot through between the pole, and then the other foot between the next pole - which is great! One foot, one foot is perfect and good for speed....you do this because you are larger/longer than Gracie and Me - she's shorter and not as long and can't stride as far as you (although since she's just learned the weaves she may change her stride), so she can't stretch far enough to go one foot, one foot. Me? I'm small so I have to use two feet and kind of hop through the weaves - which is normal for a smaller dog. But this can be pretty darn fast too. Make sense?

We'd like to see a quick video of you weaving too!
