Chinese New Year I - Reunion Dinner

Happy Chinese New Year everyone. First in the cycle of 12 animal signs, Rat Year begins the sequence and recurs every twelfth year. It is a time of renewal in so many ways. From New Year to the arrival of spring, may all the blessings and delights of the New Year be yours.

~ The Year of Mouse. Minnie Mouse! ~

Me too, got myself a new clothes for the new year. It was a jacket with a 'HOOD'. Ms Owner is a hood-lover. That explained why she still purchase this piece of clothing for me, eventhough is obvious that it didn't fits me well. I'm too muscular, to be honest.

~ Me showing off my big chest with chest hair. Ain't I'm sexy? ~

~ My new jacket with a hood that comes in handy during rainy days ~

During daytime, the family members went for a shopping spree. Just couldn't imagine how woman can actually spent hours in a shopping mall, browsing at the few shops over and over again and yet sometimes, they came out empty handed. Being totally annoyed by the women, Ms Owner decided to grab a seat and enjoyed her favourite McDonald's chocolate sundae. By coincidence she sat opposite an electronic shop, with a TV showing Scuderia Ferrari F2008. Sweet.

It was the new year eve, which also known as Reunion Dinner night. Ms Owner wasn't really excited about it, cause it would be the day whereby she can hardly find a place to sit in the dining room. There were a number of dishes during the dinner. But the most creative award goes to this fish. If you could make out the words, Mr Old Daddy actually wrote 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' with mayonaise.

Is sad that all humans were camera shy. Thus, we only manage to capture their hands and chopsticks. In the meantime, Ms Owner enjoying her meal while sitting on the swing at the garden with me. Slurp.

Just before the clock strike midnight, we went to a temple near Chinatown. Ms Owner is not that kind of person who make her wish comes true by praying, but trying not to upset the parents she just need to make the trip. I manage to tag along this time. My debut outing to the city was quite disastrous, my tailed was tug in, my head was kept low and I was pretty freak out with all the noises of motor vehicle. No doubt I'm a Tarzan girl lack of socializing.

I'm not allowed to enter the temple, therefore I just wait across the road. Nevermind that, I think the God will be able to hear my prayer even from a distance. Although Ms Owner don't fancy making a prayer, I doubt she will hear me. Dear God, I wish :

1 - I can conquer my nerves during trials
2 - I will remain slim albeit having more food
3 - I can retire and enjoy life before reaching the age of 5

Hey Pacco, Where my mom is from, they call those shirts with hoods, bunny hugs. I don't know why. Not everyone in Canada calls them bunny hugs. Only people from the province of Saskatchewan.
