Pacco de Snappy Mutt learning 2on/2off

People said with more socialization, dog will get more friendly towards others. But why aren't the same happen on me? Recently, Ms Owner notice that I got even more aggressive at the training ground and during my jungle trekking session. Weaker and shy dogs or hyperactive puppies tends to be my victims. What's going on with my brain? I wonder. Must be another typical Pacco's breed unusual temperament. Fortunately my attack never result in physical damage, no dogs are harm in the process. They just suffered major freak-out and shocked (I don't exactly attack them, I'm just trying to 'alpha roll' on them).

"Wait till u gets home". That what Ms Owner tends to say, with me yawning by the side. She just simply pull me away, but threatens to buy me a 'cage-muzzle' if situation goes uncontrollable, together with a big label on me that writes 'Aggressive Mutt. Approach at your own risk', just to warn off the public.

Yesterday morning during my training session, I went over to provoke another new victim, which is non-other-than Mr Archer. I ended up losing in the duel and got a bite on my nose, it was BLEEDING! Boo hoo...

~ Serve me right.... (This photo was taken previously, with my beautiful nose, prior to injury) ~

Not to worry about my injured nose. Actually was just a minor sratch, not being entirely bitten off. I don't require to undergo plastic surgery to fix it. Ms Owner hope that I had learnt my lesson, and will never attempt to head over and provoke other dogs anymore. Yeah, right. Next week, I'll pay my revenge. "Watch your back, Mr Archer!"

If the aggressiveness means more drives, then we hope we can improve on our trials. Anyway, Ms Owner wish that I will transfer my overdose of steroid hormones and extra energy on attacking the agility course and flyball box instead. Is time to talk about something positive. For the last 2 weeks of training, I never ran out of the ring (but still didn't manage to achieve a clean run yet<------ handler's fault!) during my agility practise and I'm really focus in my flyball part. Too focus until I went over to hit the flyball box when I'm suppose to finish the agility course. We had came up with a good way to utilize the plank that I found earlier. Although it was unstable for me to try 'running contact', but is good enough for me to practise my '2on/2off', since this is all we got at the moment. We are desperately in need on improving our contacts.

~ When being 'non-jumpy' is rewarded. What kind of obstacle is this?! ~

By the way, I'm participating in Johann's "Get on the Fun Dog Tricks Train!

-------Copy and paste starting with this line and everything below----------

There are all kinds of fun tricks for us dogs, right? Well, let's make a list! And share it with the dog world!

Here's how it works:

1.) Copy and paste this post beginning with the "copy and paste" line at the top of the post to the "copy and paste" line at the end of the post, courtesy of Johann The Dog!

2.) Substitute the Host Tag (see below) and one of the vacant “Tricks” spots with the name of your dog trick and the URL of your blog, just like I did.

3.) When you find out that someone has added this link post to their blog and their trick isn't listed on your post, practice good paw and add their link in one of your “Tricks” slots, by copying his/her 'Host Tag’ and paste it over one of your “Tricks” slots below, and republish. This makes the list the same on everyone's blog!

4.) Encourage and invite your readers to do the same and soon this can grow fast. And if your not a dog, but you blog about dogs, or own a dog, you are also welcome to participate!

Pacco,

You should be nicer to small or shy doggies. If you get too agressive, Ms. Owner won't take you places any more. I know. I was agressive when the girl first adopted me and never got to go anywhere. Now that I am better in social situations, I can try more places.

Hey Pacco - thanks for participating in the Tricks post! Got you all linked up...

Sometimes I get wild at agility trials and some folks think I'm aggressive, but I get soooo wound up I can't hold it in. Maybe you're just way over the top excited...

Mum had me take a break from trying to socialize with other pups...and it helped just being with my Mum at trials - no pressure...now I'm a lot better with other dogs, away from agility. It's the hyper dogs that get me all riled up too.

Poor noes of yours Pacco. Maybe you should do something about Mr Archer! Just kidding..try not to get into other doggies face!

Oh Pacco, if that's what you are then that's what you are. We all have different personalities but you should control yourself more when it comes to small doggies, poor fellas! But goof thing you no hurt them. I will only snap if there's a male sniffing my butt or humping me but I start no fight unless that other dog retaliates! Hope your training goes well.

Pacco, we hope you don't end up with a muzzle! Mom is training our new big, baby brother with a prong collar. It's working, too. When she yanks on it, he does exactly what she says. Too bad we can't leave it on him ALL the time!

We have the same problem. Mama takes us for walks everyday so we can see other dogs but we just want to kill them. But we don't care if they are big and small.

We understand - we can't help it iether.

Pacco, I've learned that a lower protein diet can sometimes help with aggression, though I hesitate to suggest meddling with an athlete's diet. You look like you're doing fine with what you have now. Still, it might be something to consider. Hope you get it sorted out and keep having fun at the trials.

Hi Pacco,

I've been getting slightly more aggressive lately too! I think it's the time of the year. Mom gets made at me when I act like that too. She made me leave the park early last week cuz I was 'picking' on a small dog. Don't know how much agility practice you need. You sure look great to me!!

Your pal,
Kirby

Pacco: I am the alpha dog here. It is just something we have to do. You will do great at the trails. You are very talented and will learn many more tricks. I don't know any tricks, just how to spin around.

Hi, Pacco!
I hope you will not have to use a muzzle! I am not agressive with dogs. Sometimes I am agressive with people! Maybe this is because I feel bad vibes!

I get too growly and nippy at times. Usually with giant dogs. That's why my owner is growling at me. I'm working on it but sometimes I can't help it.

p.s. Hope your nose is better
